IB47106 100 Piece Mini High-Speed Plasmid Columns and Collection Tubes Kit

IBI replacement Mini high-speed plasmid columns are designed for rapid isolation of plasmid DNA from 1-4ml of cultured bacterial cells. The modified alkaline lysis method and RNase treatment are used to obtain clear cell lysate with minimal genomic DNA and RNA contamination. IBI MINI High-Speed Plasmid columns contain a glass fiber matrix, similar to other DNA purification products on the market today that utilize the lysis method followed by DNA binding, washing, and subsequent elution of the DNA from the column. These columns can be used to utilize left-over reagents from completed kits. Protocols from the original complete kit (regardless of brand) may be used with these columns as well. The quality of the Mini high-speed plasmid columns and collection tubes are tested on a lot-to-lot basis by isolating plasmid DNA from a 4ml overnight E. coli (DH5A) culture, containing plasmid pBluescript (A600 greater than 2U/ml). Following the purification process, a yield of more than 20 microgram is expected and the ratio of A260/A280 is between 1.7 and 1.9. The purified plasmid (1 microgram) is used in EcoR I digestion, and checked by electrophoresis.
